Pat Lee solution reduces oil bills and increases energy efficiency
Our client, a large factory with showrooms and offices attached, needed to improve its energy efficiency. At Pat Lee, we advised on and manufactured a large Log-burner which was specifically fabricated to take wood waste from the plant’s joinery department to heat the showroom and offices of the entire site.
We took this approach as this installation takes a waste material that had a cost implication in disposal and reduces the overall amount spent on energy. The Log-burner was designed and installed so that it works in conjunction with a heat recovery unit. This extracts even more energy from the flue gasses before they pass to the atmosphere. The large 15,000L buffer vessel ensures that regardless of whether the burner is lit there is ample energy available to heat all floor areas including showroom and offices.
The client identified a need for heating and a waste product that was costing money. Our solution from Pat Lee neatly resolved both issues and resulted in reduced oil bills for our client.
